Another milestone achieved – 10,000 motors produced in Hyderabad

In 2009, Traktionssysteme Austria (TSA) signed a Joint Venture with the Indian company Medha Servo Drives Pvt. Ltd. The manufacturer of control and power electronics is a pioneer in the field of electrical equipment for rolling stock and India is considered one of the world’s largest markets for rail vehicles.
As part of the Make in India Initiative, we are thus able to manufacture motors, gearboxes and generators in India for the Indian market. Since the opening of the production facility of the Joint Venture Medha Traction Equipment Pvt. Ltd. in 2012, more than 10,000 motors have been manufactured to date. This remarkable milestone was celebrated by the 320 employees at a festive ceremony in Hyderabad.
