Double Anniversary – Traktionssysteme Austria Publishes Commemorative History Book
60 years of industrial history at the company‘s site in Brown-Boveri-Str. 1 in Wiener Neudorf and the 20th company anniversary of Traktionssysteme Austria (TSA) are a remarkable success! On the occasion of this year’s double anniversary, the Institute of History of Art, Building Archaeology and Restoration at Vienna’s University of Technology was commissioned in 2017 to compile a corporate history book.
This comprehensive publication describes the transformation of a diversified electrical engineering enterprise into a highly specialized and modern industrial company in a historical context. Today this company develops and produces electric motors in Wiener Neudorf which power rolling stock and road vehicles on all continents of the world.
TSA’s employees, selected contemporary witnesses and interview partners who contributed substantially to the production of this commemorative publication, received the book with a message of gratitude for their participation. CEO Günter Eichhübl even personally presented the book to Mayor Herbert Janschka and Peter Csendes, Head of the Archives at the Wiener Neudorf municipality, as it would have been impossible to write this book without the valuable historical documents from the archives and the specialist library.
Fans and those who want to find out more can order our commemorative publication ‘Vom Industriestandort zum Innovationszentrum: Die Geschichte der Traktionssysteme Austria von 1960 bis 2020’ (ISBN 978-3-99028-962-4) directly from the publisher Bibliothek der Provinz.
We are looking forward to many more successful decades of Traktionssysteme Austria!
