TSA awarded supply contract for traction motors to run into the Silicon Valley!
TSA got awarded a design and manufacture contract for traction motors by Stadler Rail for its prestigious Caltrain project that will provide new trains to run from the San Francisco Bay Area into the Silicon Valley as part of the Peninsula Corridor Electrification Project (PCEP).
The equipment to be supplied will meet the Buy America provisions and be used on the 16 double-decker EMUs that will connect San Francisco with San Jose.
This contract marks the successful continuation of TSA’s engagement to the North American markets, which is being led by Traction Systems Inc. (TSA’s 100% US subsidiary based in Somerville, NJ).
TSA´s current programs in the USA see deliveries for various streetcar, LRV and self-propelled, diesel-electric commuter train programs.
